NexDash Launches Mittelstand Consolidation Push with First Acquisition: Neo-Carrier Acquires 26-Truck Operator March Transporte

9 JUNE 2026M&A
  • First acquisition under NexDash's buy-and-build strategy for the fragmented German Mittelstand trucking sector; final closing July 2026
  • Founder Marco March continues as Managing Director — team, location, and customer relationships remain unchanged
  • €6.5M annual recurring revenue (ARR) today, growing to €10M targeted by year-end through organic acceleration and NexOS rollout

BERLIN, 9 June 2026 — NexDash, the Berlin-based "Neo-Carrier" building Europe's first autonomous, zero-emission logistics network, today announced the acquisition of March Transporte, a 26-truck regional fleet operator based in Rheinbach, North Rhine-Westphalia, with economic transfer to NexDash scheduled for July 2026. The transaction marks the first acquisition in NexDash's buy-and-build consolidation of the fragmented German Mittelstand trucking sector.

Founder Marco March continues as Managing Director; team, location, and customer relationships remain unchanged. NexDash acquires full ownership of the company in July.

The business generates approximately €6.5 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) today. NexDash is targeting €10 million by the end of 2026 through organic growth acceleration and the deployment of its proprietary AI fleet operating system, NexOS.

Operational integration is led by NexDash COO Karsten Sachsenröder, formerly a long-time senior executive at DB Schenker and advisor to leading private-equity firms.

Building a new category: the Neo-Carrier

German road freight is one of Europe's largest — and most fragmented — logistics markets, dominated by thousands of owner-operated SMEs running aging diesel fleets on thin margins. Over 90 percent of operators run fewer than ten vehicles. NexDash's thesis is that this fragmentation is the opportunity: by consolidating proven operators, electrifying their fleets, and orchestrating them through a single intelligent operating system, a fundamentally more efficient and lower-emission carrier can be built.

The company calls this model the Neo-Carrier, and follows a clear four-stage path:
Consolidation → Electrification → Digitization → Autonomy.

"March Transporte is the proof point for everything we're building," said Michael Cassau, Founder and CEO of NexDash. "This is a healthy, well-run operator with deep customer relationships — exactly the kind of business that has been underserved by the technology and capital available to it. Our job is to work alongside great operators like Marco's team and give them an unfair advantage: AI-optimized operations, an electrified fleet, and the scale to compete with anyone in Europe. For us, consolidation and intelligence aren't separate strategies — they're the same strategy. Not consulting. Not software. Operations."

"We are very excited to join the NexDash group. For many years, March Transporte has stood for reliability, quality, and a strong team. Together with NexDash, we now want to write the next chapter and actively help shape what modern road freight in Germany looks like: electric, efficient, and built for the future. For our customers and employees, everything essential remains unchanged: I will continue as Managing Director, and we will take this next step together," said Marco March, Founder and Managing Director of March Transporte.

Three value drivers from day one

The acquisition activates NexDash's full operating playbook across the fleet:

  1. NexOS deployment — NexDash's AI fleet operating system for EV trucks, optimizing routing, capacity, and energy consumption and turning a traditional trucking operation into a data-driven, continuously improving network.
  2. Electrification — A staged transition to electric vehicles, with the first EV trucks entering operation in the second half of 2026, cutting both emissions and total cost of ownership.
  3. Scale economics — Consolidation gives smaller operators access to purchasing power, financing, and technology previously reserved for the largest carriers, so they compete on efficiency, not just price.

Backed for the long build

NexDash is backed by Extantia Capital and Clean Energy Ventures, Platform Horizons (P6N), and Magnetic Capital — investors focused on climate and deep-tech category leaders. The March Transporte transaction is the first in an active acquisition pipeline as NexDash scales toward becoming the operating layer for European freight.

Michael Cassau previously founded and scaled Grover to over €300M in ARR, bringing a track record of building category-defining, capital-intensive technology businesses in Europe.
